GOOD: Without Which The World Would Come To An End!
Written by Monte Albers de Leon, this screenplay is definitely a wonderful masterpiece that will keep you glued for all the right reasons. GOOD is technically a thought-provoking story that says that there is something GOOD in everything for mankind to survive. No matter how clever, crooked, or selfish a person gets, being GOOD is the key to survival. The screenplay starts off with six characters. One is brilliant but proud, one is genius, another is clever, one is bad, and another is an introvert, while one of them is GOOD! The story revolves around a GOOD person, who is really a gem and the key element that makes the world survive against all odds.
The characters start debating about the topic right from the beginning, and while the debate is on, it definitely brings in things that are cause for concern. They discuss international events, how things are destroying world peace, and the need for stability and tranquility in the world. While some blame the US and some blame ISIS, the need of the hour is to maintain peace. Right at that moment, due to some unexpected circumstances, there is an all-out war, and the characters find themselves trapped inside the building with no place to go! One by one, it is noticed that the characters meet their deaths as mankind’s downfall starts off. The only two people left at the end of the day are the GOOD one and the CLEVER one. While this is far from the end scene, EVA, the clever one, has to ensure that ELI, the GOOD one dies, in order to stop and reverse the apocalypse. As there is a little bit of honesty, kindness, and goodness in every human, EVA, who is clever, considers that it is better to let the world come to an end rather than be responsible for the death of ELI, who is genuinely a GOOD person. As ELI understands the grave situation and exclaims ‘oh GOD’, EVA gets agitated and claims that there is no GOD; otherwise, they would not have been in such a situation. That’s the turning point, and things move ahead from there onward.
The screenplay is written beautifully, and it’s definitely a masterpiece that no one can ignore. With the turn of events, the GOOD one discloses that she is GOD and has been around for a long time. At this junction, EVA, who is clever, understands the existential potential and defends the need for humanity in spite of everything. That’s when the characters are returned to the earlier critical moment, and EVA succeeds in saving the world with the help of another character who has been deemed dead. This turn of events surely establishes the fact that GOD exists, and he is within humans who are GOOD and have a heart of gold. However, there is no denying the fact that goodness is also exciting in EVA, who was clever but still GOOD enough not to risk the life of someone else just for one’s selfish motives. This GOOD move by Eva actually helped her find a way to save the world. Probably that was a test of character, and EVA cleared the test in flying colors.
However, at the end of it all, it can be concluded that the writer has done a wonderful job and the screenplay has turned out to be an excellent read. It is interesting, thought-provoking, and intriguing, and the conversation does hold value and makes the person think about the world in contemporary times and how a GOOD act and an act of kindness can simply save the world. The writer is extremely talented and has a creative blend of mind that is portrayed in the Thai screenplay. Overall, a lovely read and definitely an impactful one that will stay in the hearts of one and all.
